Paint Zoom Complaints… is it a good idea to buy paint zoom?
Many customers can attest to Paint Zoom’s ease-of-use and efficiency. There are others, however, who have had trouble using it. Let’s look at the most common Paint Zoom complaints customers have, and debunk some of them.
Paint Zoom Complaint #1: It Keeps Clogging Up
Customers often complain about the nozzle or the tube clogging up. Do not pour paint directly from the bucket into the paint cup — you’ll end up with paint that’s too thick for spraying. You need to thin it out properly by adding water (for water-based paint) or solvent (for oil-based paint).
Paint Zoom Complaint #2: It Sprays Paint Unevenly
According to many users, Paint Zoom spits out globs of paint instead of creating even sprays. Others say that Paint Zoom produces paint streaks. Again, this is where viscosity comes in. The Paint Zoom kit contains a tool called “viscosity cup” which you can use to measure how thick or thin your paint is through its “run-out time.” Follow this rule of thumb: the shorter the run-out time, the thinner the paint. Before painting anything, do “test sprays” on a piece of cardboard or spare plank of wood.
Paint Zoom Complaint #3: It Doesn’t Carry a Lot of Paint
Because its cup can only contain roughly 4 pounds of paint, refilling isn’t out of the picture. It’s important to understand that Paint Zoom cannot replace heavy-duty industrial paint machines. Paint Zoom was initially designed for small to medium paint projects. If you’d like to paint the exterior of your three-storey home, you may want to go for a bigger machine.
Paint Zoom Complaint #4: It Does a Messy Job
Whether you are using paintbrushes, rollers or paint machines, you still need to prepare the surface you’d like to paint. Most importantly, it needs to be clean. Unless you prep your wall up, you’re going to end up with a nasty paint job regardless of what tool you use. Paint Zoom is no exception. Make sure the surface is clean and dry.
As you can see, most Paint Zoom complaints are common problems that users encounter when using air spray tools. They do not show that there is a problem with Paint Zoom itself. Often, users overlook important details and tasks before doing paint jobs. Should you get Paint Zoom? Definitely. Just remember to do your homework before using it.
